TEAM WALSTAD – Norway

John Mitchell

Walstad’s win over Thomas Ulsrud in the 2017 Norwegian nationals earned him the right to represent the country at the world championship. Team Walstad finished with a 5-6 round-robin record and missed the playoffs.

Markus Høiberg has served as the alternate for Team Ulsrud in the past including the Winter Olympics and world championships. He filled in for lead Havaard Vad Petersson at the 2013 Masters.

Walstad made his sensational Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling debut at the 2017 Tour Challenge (Tier 1) and reached the final.
