Team Ulsrud garnered international fame during the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics when they started wearing Loudmouth Golf pants that featured colours similar to the Norwegian flag. The team has continued to wear a variety of Loudmouth patterns at Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling events since.
After winning the silver medal in Vancouver, Team Ulsrud captured gold at the 2014 world championship. They came up just short of defending the title in 2015 and settled for silver falling to Sweden’s Team Edin.
Torger Nergård started playing with Ulsrud in the 1990s and has also served as the alternate for Pål Trulsen’s team. Nergård won the gold medal with Trulsen at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
The team will represent Norway again at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang next month.
